🔹️ If you are planning to leave a will in Turkey, consider important aspects of Turkish inheritance law.
📜 Turkish law provides for a guaranteed share (saklı pay) for certain heirs, regardless of the contents of the will. These include children, spouses and parents. Brothers and sisters are not entitled to a guaranteed share. ⚖️

🔹️ Procedure for inheritance without a will:

  1. Spouse and children
    - Spouse receives 1/4
    - Children share 3/4
  2. Without children
    - Spouse gets 1/2
    - The rest is split between parents (or siblings)
  3. Without children and parents
    - Spouse gets 3/4
    - The remainder is divided between the grandparents and their children
  4. Spouse only
    - All inheritance to the spouse
  5. Without relatives and spouse
    - The inheritance goes to the state

❗️ It is important to carefully consider making a will in Turkey to avoid legal disputes.
