A new OYSS written examination system for school students has been in effect in Turkey since October 26.
Key changes:
Instead of multiple-choice tests, students will provide detailed written answers explaining their solutions.
A unified question bank containing 8,000 questions has been prepared by the Ministry of National Education.
Exam results will be available online through the e-Okul system.
The aim of the reform is to develop independent and analytical thinking skills, as well as a deeper understanding of educational subjects.
The new system is designed to assess not only students' knowledge but also their ability to think independently and apply what they have learned.
